He said that since the use of science and technology has created both opportunities and challenges, Nepal wants to invest in the development of the skills of workers according to the market demand to face the challenges.
He said, “We want a transparent clean and clear regarding the rights, safety and respect of workers.” Minister Bhandari made it clear that Nepal is ready to send women to domestic work where male workers are currently sent if there is a security environment and a bilateral agreement.

Rajendra Bhandari, president of the association, said that the job fair was organized to establish a direct relationship between Nepali manpower professionals and employers. In the program, Narayan Bhushal, a member of the working committee of the association, informed about the overall labor force of Nepal through a power point presentation.
More than 110 people including 64 manpower companies and employees participated in the job fair. Dick Bahadur Khatri, coordinator of Jaw Fair, first vice president of the association and international coordinator, said that new and old businessmen of Nepal participated in Jaw Fair with equal enthusiasm.
Minister Bhandari observed all the stalls in the Jaw Fair and urged them to work enthusiastically and look for new opportunities.

Raghunath Puri, the owner of the veteran businessman The River Overseas Pvt. Ltd. said that although there is a possibility of employment for Nepalis in many fields, if there are problems due to middlemen, the Jaw Fair will help to solve them and he said that it would be appropriate to hold a Jaw Fair from Nepal every one year.
Kiran Kishore Ghimire, the owner of Kanchan Human Resource Pvt. Ltd., said that job fair is important because it will benefit Nepali workers in the long run.
Local employers including UAE based employers, Chambers of all States, Indian Investment Group, Business Community, HR Association and official Nepali Chambers were invited for observation. But Ambassador Chettri said that the expected number of employers did not participate due to the time pressure and the expected preparations could not be completed.
The program was completed under the chairmanship of Rajendra Bhandari, president of the association. 17 years ago, Nepal organized Jaw Fair in UAE on June 6, 2007. Counselor Shram Deenbandhu Subedi, working at the Nepali Embassy in the UAE, said that the job fair should be held in a short time because there are many changes in the employment of the UAE due to the use of technology.

He said that even though Nepal has held a labor fair for 17 years, countries that send workers like the Philippines have benefited because they quickly hold labor fairs and inform employers about the manpower in their country. Councilor Shram Subedi also informed that more than 500,000 traditional construction workers, security guards, service and hospitality are working from Nepal.
UAE is the main labor destination of Nepali workers. According to the previous agreement between the UAE and the government of Nepal, the employer has to bear the expenses of the Nepali workers. Although it is stated in the contract that the workers do not have to pay any fee, due to the shortcomings of the employer, in some cases, the workers have to pay the fee.

At the Job Fair, manpower companies that send workers to the UAE and foreign employment traders who send workers to Malaysia and European countries at zero cost also booked stalls. It was also seen that some businessmen who did not book a stall despite repeated requests from the organizing association were distributing cards outside and moving ahead of others to place plates for food.
